Transportation Research > Research Program and Project Management

Welcome

This Web site, created by the AASHTO Research Advisory Committee (RAC)/TRB Conduct of Research (COR) Committee Coordination and Collaboration Task Force (RAC/TRB COR CCTF),  allows the transportation research community (researchers and research managers) to share information and to connect and collaborate on shared issues. Over time, we envision this as a repository of documents and work products that will become a collective set of best practices for planning, funding, conducting, managing, and implementing transportation research projects. As a SharePoint site, it also allows researchers and research managers to coordinate and collaborate on these topics.

The richness of this site comes from document and work product contributions by the research community. You are welcome to add a link, start a discussion, or post an announcement that is relevant to the topics below.  If you have documents or work products related to any of the tabs, you will need an account and specific posting instructions.  Please contact us to obtain an account.

 Site Overview

This site is organized around five main concepts:
  • Setting the Research Agenda – Share information about your research needs, priorities, selection processes and timelines, and learn about those of other organizations.
  • Carrying Out Research Share resources you use to manage your projects and programs to maximize your research investment.
  • Delivering Results/Communicating Value Share ways you ensure research lives beyond the project and makes a difference in transportation practice.
  • Collaborating in Research Activities – Share and learn about tools for collaborative partnership and ways to connect with others who share your research goals.
  • Team Collaboration - A space for research committees and teams to collaborate in real time and share products for the broader research community to use.

Choose a topic from above to learn more and access the documents and work products.
