USE Bicycle travel
NTL Comments: unsure of what this term is supposed to mean
MK Comments:
Discussion:
AE: Is this similar to traffic counts? Seems like it might be. WSDOT collect counts for passenger, trucks, motorcycles etc for reporting to FHWA. We could extend that to non-motorized vehicles.
Committee Consensus:
TEMP Park --investigate bicycle usage as NPT for bicycle travel
TEMP Park -- investigate as PT as a child of Traffic counts (making decision to add based on lack of non-motorized terms in the TRT)
USE Hot mix paving mixtures

AE: I would rather not see us use parentheticals for anything other than what is stated in the ANSI/NISO guideline. I would accept HMA on its own but not with the prarenthetical. Parentheticals are generally used only to display a term with two different meanings. I would rather see this as NPT to Hot Mix Asphalt rather than Hot Mix paving mixtures
Committee Consensus:
TEMP Park to keep with Hot mix asphalt
USE Hot mix paving mixtures

AE: DISAGREE I think this term should be an Preferred Termunder Hot Mix Paving Mixtures. It is used at WSDOT extensively. Actually its intialism is used extensively here.
Committee Consensus:
TEMP Park: AE will consult SME to determine whether we should swap Hot Mix Asphalt as PT and revise Hot mix paving mixtures to be a NPT.
USE Magnetic levitation vehicles

AE: Agree
Committee Consensus:
TEMP Park: consider as a NPT to Magnetic levitation (Qtim); NTL will provide context of usage within the literature (usad as adjective vs noun)
USE Reclaimed asphalt pavements

AE: I have a question out to our Materials Librarian about the preferred term (reclaimed or reycled). The Subject matter Expert is out until May 20th.
Committee Consensus:
Temp Park: NTL to look at term counts to determine preferred; keep in mind that WSDOT State Materials Engineer prefers Reclaimed asphalt pavements; also mentioned Reused asphalt pavements (this term may be dealt with later)
USE Car sharing
BT: Transportation by ownership
Variant: Shared use vehicle systems
NTL Comments: anticipate term becoming more popular

Discussion:
AE: Agree
Committee Consensus:
PARK due to very little usage; also consider dropping "use" from the term when researching; should also consider Bicycle sharing/Bike sharing
